About Me
Hello fellow wanderer, I’m Selkie.
I’m a harpist and composer, and I create Fairytale Harp Music for magical journeys. The harp called to me long before I ever played one, through Celtic music, mythology and dreams of learning this instrument one day. Today, she is my way of slipping into other worlds and I'm grateful for all the magic she continues to bring into this life. 🎶
My music carries you through enchanted forests, misty shores and old tales, whether you want to dream, unwind or simply feel a little more enchanted in your day. I play live at medieval events and evening concerts, and I share my music and videos with a growing circle of friends, folks and fae adventurers around the world.
With my art, I hope to leave you feeling inspired, full of wonder and trusting your own path. Everything is interwoven, and life can surprise us in beautiful ways while we walk it. ✨
Beyond music, I love creating across many disciplines: writing, crafting, filming and photography. In my music projects, all these threads come together, from the songs to the videos to the stories behind them.
It all begins outdoors, so let me show you where the ideas come from…
Inspiration Sources
This is where the magic happens. One of the great sources of inspiration for my creations is being out in nature. Whether in the woodlands or by the seaside, this is where new songs are sparked and music videos are created. 🌳✨
Every piece of music has its own creation story: sometimes born from mythology or folklore, sometimes out of shared adventures on this earth journey, and sometimes from simply listening within.
For me, music is always created from the magic of the present moment, from being firmly rooted in the now with a soul ready to wander anywhere. Being in nature is a gateway that takes me there. 🎶
